Hampers

ContactUs.png

Full hampers are distributed once a month and clients are provided with a scheduled pickup day and time. It is the client's responsibility to know the correct date and time to pick up their hamper each month. If you are unable to pick up your hamper on your scheduled day, please call and reschedule. We may be able to make arrangements to have your hamper delivered.

A hamper includes fresh and nonperishable items such as milk, eggs, bread, fruit, vegetables, yogurt, pasta, and soup. The items in your food hamper vary as they have been donated and/or purchased by the Food Bank. We do our best to follow Canada’s Food Guide to provide clients with a healthy food hamper.

If you have specific dietary needs or if you require other items such as diapers, baby formula or pet food, please tell your Client Services worker and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Receiving Hampers

Each month, LCFB provides hundreds of hampers to our clients in the community. Each family or individual receives a pre-packed hamper and may select other food items they require from a preset list of available items in stock. Fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy and frozen food items will be prepared for your hamper while you wait.

Hampers are to be picked up at our facility in Lake Country on your scheduled date during your assigned morning or afternoon time slot. Delivery can be arranged on a case-by- case basis after a discussion with a Client Service Worker.
